The Gfö annual meeting was held in Leipzig between 12-16 September 2023. The theme for this year's meeting ‘The future of biodiversity-overcoming barriers of taxa, realms, and scale’ was attended by over 1000 researchers, scientists, and PhD. students.
Ms Evelyn Asante Yeboah, a research associate in CLEAR´s ZALF team, presented the project´s aims, concepts, and approaches in the section ‘Co-design of biodiversity conservation throughout farmland at the landscape scale’. This section highlighted the urgency of biodiversity conservation and restoration in European agricultural landscapes and the important role co-design management can contribute. The section gathered experiences and insights from diverse projects and identified synergies, challenges, and success in co-designing landscape-scale measures, and the implementation and monitoring of projects.
In her presentation, Ms. Asante Yeboah highlighted the novelty of CLEAR, i.e. understanding connections between science, policy, and practice to increase landscape-level agrobiodiversity, following a participatory and iterative approach.
The and restoration efforts. conference ended on a very successful note with practical exchanges in ideas, projects and diverse knowledge on biodiversity conservation
